About us

We bring bold, world-class ideas to life for brands that want to stand out—in this city and wherever your story travels next.

I enjoy working for Cambridge Chronicles. The whole atmosphere is compelling: everyone is so creative it almost hurts my brain, in the best possible way. There’s real dedication here, real passion, and that blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of momentum where you can just tell success is already happening.

Senior Copywriter

"The precision and artistry in every frame speaks to someone who understands light the way a writer understands words."

James Caldwell
Event curator, Cambridge

It's magic when we collaborate. Either it be with the team on a production day or shooting for a client, Cambridge Chronicles brings to the table not just experience, top-notch equipment but also fresh creative energy that sets itself apart from the general academic atmosphere of Cambridge. It's creative, it's new and it's disruptive. AND, you will always get sweet treats and the best coffee.

Creative Strategist
Sans

I love being here in the studio. I enjoy working closely with the team and turn concepts into meaningful designs. For me, it's just not creating visuals, it's about building something together, combining different perspective and pushing myself to grow.

Graphic Designer
Abhi

The team is really passionate and has worked internationally and locally with numerous brands and events and is always hungry for a new challenge. We don’t take ourselves too seriously in general but when it comes to actual work, the team knows how to get sh*t done.

Creative communications

We take the complicated stuff and make it look simple—clean, watchable, and hard to ignore. With multiple studio spaces across East Anglia, we see what you don’t, and we know how to show it.

FAQs

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique.

Why do you call yourself a creative studio and not an advertising agency?

“Advertising agency” sounds like a floor of offices. “Creative studio” sounds like somewhere you actually make things.
‍
We’re the second.

Clients don’t just send us a brief and wait for a media plan; we sit with them, pull the story apart, ask too many questions and put it back together in a way that feels honest and watchable. It’s closer to therapy for brands and the people behind them than it is to a traditional agency relationship.

A studio also reflects what we physically are: production spaces, cameras, lights, sound, design, edit suites. You’re not just buying ideas, you’re stepping into the place where those ideas get turned into film, photography, audio and design.

We call ourselves a creative studio because we don’t just “do ads”. We get to the bottom of your story, find the angle others miss and make it shine on screen in a way that still feels like you.

What should I expect from communication, and how does it all start?

We try to keep the process as light and human as possible.

  1. You book a call. We talk about what you’re trying to do: launch something, fill a room, fix a brand, tell a story that’s been sitting in your head for too long.

  2. We think through a plan together. We’ll sketch options, pressure-test ideas and suggest what we’d actually do if it were our brand. You’ll always know the shape of the project before we roll cameras or open a design file.

We make it together. You’re not handing your brand over and hoping. You’ll see drafts, cuts and concepts, and we’ll keep you in the loop without drowning you in emails.

‍

In every project, the brand is the hero of the story. Our job is to guide, question, shape and produce. To take you on the ride, not drive off without you.

What will I miss if I don’t work with Cambridge Chronicles?

Honestly? You might still get something made. But you may miss the story.

You might end up with a campaign that looks fine but doesn’t really sound like you. A video that explains the product but not the why. A brand that feels like it came from a template instead of from your history, your people and your place.

Here’s what you’d be missing:

  • someone actually listening for the interesting bit in your story
  • a crew that cares as much about the feeling as the framing
  • a studio that can take you from idea to film, photo, audio and design without losing the thread

Your story will still exist if you don’t work with us. It just might arrive late, land softly, or never quite get told from the angle that would have made people care.

Wait, you do EVERYTHING? Like, actually everything?

Pretty much, yeah. We're a creative studio in Cambridge that's rubbish at saying no. Need video production in Cambridge for your product launch? Sorted. Want studio photography in Cambridge that doesn't look like a corporate hostage situation? We've got you covered. Fancy logo design in Cambridge that won't make you wince in six months? That's our bread and butter. We do the full creative works—production, branding, and we'll even hire out our gorgeous space if you need studio hire in Cambridge.

‍

Can you film my mate's gig/interpretive dance recital?

If it's a proper event that needs capturing, absolutely. Our live event filming in Cambridge covers everything from corporate conferences to product launches to that aforementioned interpretive dance recital (no judgment). We bring cinema-quality kit and the kind of crew who won't knock over your centerpieces. Just maybe give us a heads up if there's going to be fire-breathing involved.

‍

I need a studio but I'm terrified of those soulless white boxes with mysterious stains. Help?

You've found the right people. Our studio hire in Cambridge includes a production blackout studio (perfect for channelling your inner Vogue), a conference space so massive you could fit 500 people in there (trust us, we've counted), and a podcast room that'll make your voice sound like velvet. No mysterious stains. Promise.

How fast can you turn around a project? I'm asking for a friend. (I'm the friend. I left it too late.)

Deep breath, we've got you. Video production in Cambridge typically runs 2-4 weeks depending on complexity, but we've pulled off miracles for clients who've, let's say, "optimised their timeline." Brand identity and logo design in Cambridge usually takes 3-4 weeks. Studio photography in Cambridge? We can often book you in within days or even hours. Just... maybe don't leave it this late next time?

Do I actually need professional help or can I just use my iPhone and my mate Dave who "knows Photoshop"?

Look, Dave's great. We love Dave. But professional studio photography in Cambridge means lighting that makes you look absolutely cracking, not like a mugshot from Crimewatch. Professional video production means footage you can actually use. And logo design? Let's just say we've seen what happens when Dave "knows Photoshop." Come to us first, save yourself sorting out Dave's mess later.
